Rico taco we proudly serve authentic Mexican. Concocted by Chef Alejandro Torres Palacios, our cuisine is the real thing, enhanced by a colourful al fresco setting inspired by late Mexico City architect Ricardo Legoretta.
While many mix up Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisines, we try and remain truer to Mexican food as found in San Luis Potosi, Alejandro’s home state.
At the age of 16, Alejandro moved to Seattle to study. After finishing high school he went to culinary art school to become a Chef. He acquired experience by working in various restaurants in the Seattle area (Latin American, French, Italian, Spanish, etc.).
He then decided to move to Vietnam to embrace the Executive Chef’s position at Khoi Thom, now renamed Rico Taco.

Doug Stratton, owner and head chef of Gringo Tacos, first came to Vietnam in 2005, on a visit with a Vietnamese chef from the culinary school he was studying at. Like many before and many since, he fell in love with the country and started planning his return.
Ten years later, he bought a one-way ticket and hasn’t looked back.
Initially hired as an executive chef for one of the city’s fine dining restaurants, plans didn’t work out as expected, so one day, out of the blue, his girlfriend suggested he open a taco restaurant. Eighteen days later Gringo Tacos served their first burrito.
Coming originally from southern California, Stratton has strong opinions about what ‘traditional’ Mexican food is, and serves up the genuine flavours of the food he’s enjoyed since childhood.

Hola Amigos!
This is OUR Tex-Mexican Restaurant in HCMC, Vietnam. I’m Scott from Maine, USA & my wife Ms Duc is from here in Saigon.
What we are trying to do here at La Fiesta is to make some tasty Tex-Mexican food and drink, served with a smile in a welcoming setting.
We make all of our sauces and tortillas onsite, and also use Saigon Tacos locally made Corn Tortillas & Salsa Verde. We take great pride in our work, and strive to do our best to pay attention to detail every single day. It’s the little things that count, and that gets lost sometimes.
We will all work hard every day to stay on top of our game, and keep you wanting to come back to La Fiesta.

So Defiantly not just a burger place, Mad house (Which translates to food in Danish) Is set in it’s own private villa in Thao Dien,
A stunning courtyard which seats 100 plus people is one of the most tranquil destinations for dinning in the city.
They also make an absolutely incredible brunch over the weekend for those late risers.
But these guys do know how to make a burger, and not just any burger. These guys have won every category at the burger of the year comp in Saigon.
